Sixteen-year-old Brynn Summers believes she has entered an alternate reality when she awakens inside a cell with glass walls. Even more bizarre is the group of teenagers who are with her: a preteen know-it-all, a warrior goth girl, a beefed-up mastermind, and an intriguing infiltrator. They must work together to not only escape, but to also decipher the identity of their captors. Unbeknownst to the group, the United States military has been collaborating with an alliance of extraterrestrials. The Alliance developed a legion of super soldiers by boosting their DNA so that Earth could survive an invasion from artificially intelligent humanoids.
